Golden Peak High School, Chabahil organized the 8th Inter-school Basketball Tournament-2076. The event lasted for 7 days till 2nd August 2019. On the final event, Greenland, Reliance Public, and Laligurans Schools won the title.
Greenland School
In the senior boys’ league, Greenland school scored 46-42 over Golden Peak High School in the tough competition. Raziv Aale of Greenland school scored highest (11) in the game.
Laligurans School
Likewise, in the Junior boys’ league, Laligurans won the title where Dipesh Chettri of the school scored highest 11. He won the title “Best Player” through the session. The school won the title over Angel heart school by 36-33.
Reliance Public School
Similarly, Reliance Public School won the Girls Basketball tournament. They won the title by 14-10 over Golden Peak High School. It was a very tough game between the Reliance public and GPHS. Ojaswi Niraula (girls’ team) scored highest 11. And titled as the “Best Player” in the Inter-school Basketball Tournament.
Best Player’s Award
During the tournament, players of Golden Peak High School won the Best Player’s Award. Gopal Bhandari (Senior Boys), Subin Tamang (Junior Boys) and Dawa Sherpa (Girls Team) scored highest and won the title. Sakriya Adhikari (senior boys) from Valley Public School won the “Three Pointer” title. Also, Diwas Gurung (Junior Boys) from Angel Heart School won the “Three Pointer” title. Moreover, Emonika Rai, from Golden Peak High School, named as the “emerging player”. Every team gave their best in the 8th GPHS Inter-school Basketball Tournament.
The Special Guest, Mr. Narendra Thapa, the Secretary-General of Nepal Basketball Association was with us. The Reporter/Writer Mr. Damodhar Neupane reported every detail of the tournament. Furthermore, School Management Committee President Mr. Arjun Kumar Khatri, Valley Pabson President Mr. Thakin Kumar Gurung were with us. Moreover, Principal Mr. Chhatra Mani Rai along with our Tole Sudhar Samiti President Mr. Raghunath Bhandari.The trophies, medals along with certificates were distributed from the hands of guests to the winning and deserving players.
