On September 20, 2024, Golden Peak High School (GPHS) organized a highly impactful Cancer Awareness Program in collaboration with Kathmandu Cancer Center, Nirnaya NSK’s Tour for Education, and Rato Chandra Surya. This important initiative focused on educating students about key health topics, including childhood cancer, HPV (Human Papillomavirus), and cervical cancer—public health issues that have far-reaching implications.

The event was attended by Grade 8 and 9 students, who actively participated in discussions, presentations, and interactive sessions led by healthcare professionals from the Kathmandu Cancer Center. Through this program, students gained valuable knowledge about early detection, prevention, and the critical role of health awareness in communities. This experience reflects Golden Peak High School’s commitment to not only academic excellence but also health education and social responsibility.

The Nirnaya NSK Tour for Education further amplified the event’s reach by integrating its mission to promote educational opportunities and raise awareness on vital social and health issues across Nepal. Nirnaya NSK, a renowned social activist and musician, has long been an advocate for education and health awareness, encouraging young people to engage in efforts to build a better future.
