Students of Grade X recently had been on an educational tour to Ghale Gaun and Manakamana, Gorkha. On the first day, the students visited to Ghale Gaun. The students overwhelmed by the scenic beauty of Ghale Gaun and enjoyed the hospitality of the home stay service provided by the local people. Home stay offered a direct interaction of the students to the local residents of the village. This helped the students know about culture and traditions of the people in that place. After enjoying the delicious local food in the cold winter night, the students wowed by stunning beauty of the mountains and the snow caped hills. Along with the teachers, the company of Mr. Damodar Neupane proved to be very fruitful to the students. He shared his long experience of the place and provided the students with the facts of the history, culture and tradition of the place.
The second night was the night of fun and refreshment. The students had a wonderful evening in the River Bay Resort located on the bank of Trishuli River. The students had a great time playing Antakshari sitting around the bonfire and a dance session after a delicious meal. On the third day, the students visited the Manakamana temple. The students offered their prayers to the deity. On the way back they bought different gift items for their relatives. They enjoyed the cable car trip a lot. This educational tour helped the students know about the factors, that enhances tourism and also how enhancing tourism in a certain place enhances the economy of that place. This educational tour also indirectly helped promote local tourism and thus a small contribution to meet the objective of the ‘Visit Nepal Year 2020’. Moreover, this educational tour provided refreshment and a short carefree break from the daily hectic academic routine of the students.
