The students of grade 8 went on 2 days, 1 night tour to Chitlang to collect data and information for field-visit based projects in OBTE, Social, Science and Accountancy. They observed different flora and fauna of the area. Similarly, they conducted interview with resort and hotel proprietors to get information about business management and skills. Besides, they studied cultural and historical importance of Chitlang along with the observation of traditional/indigenous technologies such as Panighatta. All the students were divided into five groups and each group collected data and information of the assigned project separately. In the school, they will prepare report on the basis of their study and will conduct group-wise presentation. Along with the entertainment, the students learnt cultural, historical, environmental, biological and economical aspects of Chitlang and that of the places on the way in this excursion.
